Getaways ultimately make you want to full escape from being home or feeling like you are home, or even in someone else’s home.  That’s why, I have to tip my hat profusely to The Bedford Post Inn which not only offers the ultimate in Inn accommodations & vibe, it makes you feel like you are in a house that you would literally KILL to own and live in. To me, INN, is synonymous with cute and cozy.  Quilts, rocking chairs. Maybe a few cats?? And let’s not forget the creepy, lurky, inn-keeper.  Well, buh-bye stereotypes and hello Bedford Post Inn.  Not a quilt in sight, thankfully they are feline free, and if you can honestly say you find Richard Gere creepy, well, then, get glasses! I am not going to lie to you mammas, I have been, for most of my adult life anyway, a label whore. Especially when it comes to shoes. Slap a Choo or Blahnik on the name and I am sold. Luckily my years in the fashion industry afforded me many a discount, freebie and way back in the day, trips to Milan when the Lira was an American girl’s best friend! Flats, wedges, boots, pumps, you name the style and the designer and my closet has it.Well, times went a changin’ and between recessions and kids, I consider being able to apply lip gloss and throwing on a pair of Chucks, getting dressed up. When you run around to playdates, classes, errands etc, you can tend to fall into the pattern of “mom” dressing, and letting your luxury goods collect dust. This so far seems to be the biggest suburban trap. As I fight it on a daily basis, I get super psyched when I come across something uber fab, under the radar and best of all AFFORDABLE.
